Octahedronism is a genre-bending, 4D sculptural art form with roots in the 3D depth cues of the classical Italian Renaissance discovery, linear perspective. It uses roughly the inverse of Picassos Cubist rule one.
In Octahedral constructions, a 2D texture is warped into a 3D model rotating in space. The softer rules are applied to the 2D texture before the 3D warping takes
place. The 4th dimension, time, is injected into the mix
using digital, computational algorithms for dynamically modulating the formal properties of linear perspective for an octahedron in motion.
