The Butler Institute of American Art will host its annual Summer Arts
Day Camp for children in July. The much-heralded program focuses on young
people from special constituencies, and is conducted within the galleries of
the historic Butler Institute of American Art. The camp has been held
annually since 1989.
The Butler camp, composed of thirty young people who are financially
disadvantaged and fifteen you people who face physical challenges, also
includes fifteen other interested youngsters. Children between the ages of
eight and twelve who reside in Mahoning, Columbiana, or Trumbull counties in
Ohio, or in Mercer and Lawrence Counties in Pennsylvania are eligible for
the camp.
