100 Years of Printmaking

100 Years of American Printmaking

Exhibition: September 17 – November 19, 2017

The Butler has been building a collection of prints over the decades presenting a virtual who’s who of American printmaking in a new exhibition. It can be said that every artistic movement and principle artist of the past century are included in this exhibition, 100 Years of American Printmaking from The Butler Collection. The exhibition offers us a wonderful journey through American art history, from American Impressionism through 21st century conceptual and expressionistic directions. Rare works are included alongside classic images, offering a comprehensive look at the art of printmaking in the United States of America.
