The National Midyear Show is an annual juried exhibition of original work in two dimensional media. It is open to any artist, 18 years of age or older, living in the United States of America or its territories. This exhibition takes place during the summer months with entries and fees due in early spring. Works entered must be created within the past two years of entry to be eligible for the show. A prospectus with details for the show and how to enter will be mailed out, available for pick-up in the museum, or downloadable on this page in the beginning of the year through early spring. Specific details complete with dates and the application process will be accessible at the beginning of the year. To be placed on the mailing list for National Midyear information and prospectus, email your name and address to firstname.lastname@example.org.
2019’s 83rd National Midyear Show consisted of 652 works of art submitted by 260 artists. Of those, 78 works of art by 64 artists were accepted in the show. The artists accepted spanned 14 states across the United States. It will be on view May 26 – July 28, 2019. For exhibition details visit the 83rd National Midyear Show page.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and state and federal public health orders limiting the museum’s ability to execute this show, The Butler must unfortunately cancel the 84th National Midyear Exhibition for this year. Entry fees and entry CD’s already submitted will be returned when we are back to work.
