As part of The Butler’s Black History Month program, Professor Al Bright will present a free lecture on African American works in the Butler collection.  Included in Professor Bright’s discussion are the art works of Romare Bearden, Horace Pippin, Sam Gilliam, Robert S. Duncanson, Jacob Lawrence, Benny Andrews, Elizabeth Catlett, John Wilson, and Richard Hunt among other prominent black American artists.
