The Butler’s Area Artists Annual is a juried exhibition that includes selected artworks in all media submitted by artists residing in Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties in Ohio; and Mercer and Lawrence counties in Pennsylvania. Works include paintings in oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, drawings, prints, photographs, ceramics, sculpture and crafts. Juror for this year’s exhibition is Russell Maddick, Professor Emeritus from the Department of Art at Youngstown State University. Accepted works will be on view at the Butler Trumbull Branch in Warren, Ohio. Of the 95 artists who entered 193 pieces total, there were 92 pieces selected from 70 artists accepted into the show.

89th National Midyear Exhibition at the Butler
The 89th National Midyear Exhibition presents works by contemporary artists 18 years and older who reside within the United States or its territories. Two-dimensional works in all media, including digital work and photography, are in the exhibition. This year’s juror is Dr. Louis Zona, Director Emeritus of The Butler Institute of American Art.
