About The Art
The Butler’s Area Artists Annual is a juried exhibition that includes selected artworks in all media submitted by artists residing in Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties in Ohio; and Mercer and Lawrence counties in Pennsylvania. Works include paintings in oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, drawings, prints, photographs, ceramics, sculpture, and crafts.
The 82nd Area Artist Annual exhibition in 2021 was judged by Ed Hallahan, artist and art educator: Youth Arts Honors Program BIAA & Art Instructor, Penn State University, Shenango Campus.

89th National Midyear Exhibition at the Butler
The 89th National Midyear Exhibition presents works by contemporary artists 18 years and older who reside within the United States or its territories. Two-dimensional works in all media, including digital work and photography, are in the exhibition. This year’s juror is Dr. Louis Zona, Director Emeritus of The Butler Institute of American Art.
