About The Exhibition

The Butler’s Area Artist Annual is a juried exhibition, held yearly that includes selected original artworks in all media created and submitted by artists residing within a 75-mile radius of the Butler Institute of American Art. Eligibile media includes oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, photography, ceramics, sculpture, drawing/illustration, mixed media, works on paper, and printmaking.

• Reception: January 4th, 2026 from 1-3pm
• Awards presentation at 2pm
• Free admission & open to the public
• Limited parking available in the Butler lot
• Overflow parking available in YSU F1 lot

Artwork drop off: December 11th-13th, 2025 between 11am and 3pm

Artwork pickup: February 26th-28th, 2026 between 11am and 3pm

*All works must be hand-delivered, no shipping arrangements will be accommodated.*

Museum employees are not eligible for award placing or prize money.
