About The Art
Bicycles and Barns is an exhibition of 24 paintings by nationally recognized master of watercolor George Dombek. The title of the exhibition reveals the simple subject matter of bicycles and barns, however, Dombek explores the theme with such intensity in watercolor. He is able to capture the beauty in a bicycle and the inherent abstraction in his barn structures, making them meaningful with his ability to manipulate negative space, emphasize the power of linear structures, and balance shadow and physical structure.
