I was born in Warren, Ohio and grew up in nearby Kinsman. I graduated from Joseph Badger High School in 2005, later I would attended UMUC and NYIP. In June of 2005, I volunteered to join the U.S. Army.
When I was a kid growing up in Kinsman, my brother Kurtis, my cousin Bob, and I, were always outside exploring the woods, I think this is were I found my love of being outside and experiencing new places.
I remember the first time, I was given a camera of my own. My uncle Steve, had bought me a 35mm camera to take with me since I was being stationed in Germany. I loved photography, from then on.
I came home in 2010 and I became even more interested in photography, I decided to study at NYIP, while studying there I was able to learn about great photographers like Edward Steichen, Paul Strand, August Sander, among many others.
One day at work a friend and coworker asked if I knew anything about cameras, since she had bought a new camera. I was able to help her, and she was able to show me more of the area that I hadn’t seen before. She pushed me to enter my work into shows.
Since then I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to a few places and bring a camera with me. This is what I saw.
